Model RC Airboats

A new interest has reared its head, model rc airboats. This has stemmed from wanting to build an airboat that carries one or two people, plus getting a ride on one in 2006. Having a place in the 1000 Islands also helps. I use a pontoon boat there. It's great for partying on and swimming off of but is a bit to big to go exploring. Why? Well consider the boat is 20ft. in length and 8ft. wide. Rather difficult to maneuver in tight spots, plus the wind has a tendency to push it around. Also as the water level drops toward the end of summer there are some nasty rocks that like to take out, props and lower units. In my search to find plans for an airboat I came across the model boats and was immediately hooked. I found a set of plans for a small model airboat at cajungatorairboats.com. I took these plans and redrew them using a cad program so I could print them out in full size to make patterns out of.
